The first screen shot is a shot of me as I lose it off of two at Talladega. M. Waltrip got into the side of me and caused me to do a typical takeoff pattern at the track. My car spun backwards towards the wall (this is the beginnings, however I didn't take screen shots of the rest, I will try to get some good ones for tomorrow). Once backwards my car caught a little air under it and began to lift from the bumper and skate around until takeoff. The actual air was not unlike that of Bill Elliot a few years ago when he broke his femer, except in this one I ended upside down. It was the most realistic crash I have ever seen at this track. There are many additions to Heat that we have all been waiting a long time for, and this list includes things beyond the obvious flipping cars. Most would like to see an animated pit crew that services your car in record time, this is included. I have put a sequence of shots below that show the pit action. You see the crew members from every angle including the in car. Guys are running around and you can head the jack and air wrenches. The one thing I noticed missing was the winshield washer. Another added bit of realism is that of roof flaps. When you spin at an increased speed you can see your roof flaps deploy to keep you on the ground. I also included a shot of this as I spun backwards through the pre-pit entrance at Tally. The final two shot is just from some very close racing at Dega. While the physics model/AI reactions are not completely finished, this seems a little more realistic than previous sims. You can gently lay your car along side of another without losing control, just to move them out of the way, but if you hit them a little to hard, chances are you will meet in the wall. The shot I included is of me making a little room down low.
