Martinsville 1 and several unseen incidents from the 15. Why are you being such a tool? Seriously? You just don't go cut down someones tire and expect there to be no retaliation. Even if it were accident. Jeff could have backed down, or he could've proved his point, that point being that he's sick of the BS from the 15 camp. And if I remember correctly, Johnson wrecked AFTER this all went down. There was no blatant manipulation from the HMS camp, you can even listen to the in car audio. Jeff didn't have an "itch" on his arm, unlike your beloved Clint Bowyer.

PinkFloyd79 What BS from the 15? Gordon has done the same and worse to other drivers. The 15 had just raced hard. Gordon couldn't handle it. Never has been able to handle it. And so because Gordon helped Jimmie because Jimmie didn't win {because of Jimmie's crew/team} that kind of manipulation was okay? Really? So as long as Truex Jr. doesn't win Bowyer even IF he did it on purpose is off the hook? Then what is the big deal?

Knightracer, Jeff wrecked Bowyer at Phoenix 2 last year because he was fed up with the BS from the 15, not to help Jimmie. Even if it were to help Jimmie, he wouldn't have won the Chase anyways.

Flyer101999 Gordon already did that last year. He wrecked Clint to help Jimmie and prevent Clint from winning the championship. He set a precedent. The 4 time champion, set a precedent of manipulating the outcome of the chase. So when even NASCAR can't prove Clint spun on purpose and he continues to say he didn't, and Newman doesn't appear to believe so, you're still going to hold it against Clint? Who is coming out looking a bit like a mook?

...and since we are ranting...let's face it, I doubt Bowyer will ever admit to doing this on purpose, but his little spin out and Vicker's unnecessary green flag pit stop has altered the course of the rest of this season for many people, cost several organizations potentially millions in advertising, bonuses, etc, but most importantly, has called into question the integrity of this sport that I love being a fan of. Now I have to go to work and listen to all the "those guys aren't athletes" and the "they just drive around in circles" people tell me about how NASCAR isn't really a sport. Thanks for that Michael Waltrip.

Knightracer, I agree, a cheater accusation is a strong statement, but come on, consider the source. It is not like he is Kyle Petty and bashing a driver on national tv in front of millions of people. This is just a small site where you have the freedom to post pretty much whatever strikes your fancy. I liken this to a fan at a baseball game heckling the batter and telling him he sucks. Sure, its rude and tasteless, but he's entitled to his opinion and what's the real harm? His car idea is the hot topic of the day and obviously by his description, meant to incite comments, and that is exactly what he has accomplished, so my hat's off to him.

hokiegrad Newman admitted that his crew didn't get it done. And for that matter neither Newman or Gordon got it done this year. That's why they were in the position they were in. And I may not be Gordon fan but I've been a Newman fan since him and Johnson raced it out for rookie of the year..... {to be fair Stewart/Haas was off this year as an organization and Newman didn't have much to work with}

Well I gave my opinion. Crucifying a driver is shameless and tasteless. Cheater is a harsh accusation and we've seen Hendricks be there multiple times. But then get off because of his status with friends on the governing body. I stand by my opinion until shown otherwise concerning the facts or Clint Bowyer admits anything. {Like Dale Jr. did at Bristol bragging about bringing out the caution.}

Wow, Knightracer, why so serious? When I first saw the pic, it made me giggle. This site allows anyone to upload pretty much anything. In fact, I don't even know where the rules to what you can and can't upload are on this site. He is entitled to his opinion. The moderators here don't need to "censor" his opinion.
