the problem with that is that the colors could be affected by the light that is out on the car and the light put out by the camera

If it's not too late, use a trick I used back when I attempted to paint real cars. Copy and paste the car into PSP/PSD, and use the eyedropper tool to get the correct color.

It may not be the render man. There are some areas of the car that get cut off when it's converted from the flat to the 3d model. You'll notice that when you try designing bases across the front of the car and some other ares. Nice ride btw :)

great job. there is one thing wrong about it. the rear has areo exhaust along with lucas. it doesnt bother me i just thought i would point it out to ya.

thanks everyone, skippy i tried the blue from the lucas logo and it seemed too light but now that i see the car, i think i coulda gone a tad lighter. thanks for all the comments and support everyone!

after all that, i didnt even comment on what a grea tcar this actually is!!! not many people do the #4 cars cuz there are too many associates to get on there... but you did it!!!

the only hing i can really see is that the blue seems way too dark, may be lighting in render or whatever, but from here, its about 7 shades too dark... it's supposed to be the actual Lucas Oil Blue i believe...

the only thing off about the car is that the grill tape was like highlighter green or something like that. but other than that it is fantastic. and by any chance u could do these-->michigan2 I believe(Lucas Oil on hood, forward air on rear qtr panels), and when they first lost aero exhaust(nothing but Lucas Oil on the TV panel) thanx!
