well the only ones that are there right now are this one and the #06 car. see when you say that it makes me think that you think im trying to get everyone to think i have great cars and get lots of downloads. thats why im not telling anybody anything because im really not trying to prove anything. do you get it... some people do want to know that site just to check out my cars in the future. i will tell those people but im sure not gonna put it here.

oh my fault man. youre right you havnt said anything bad. it just seems like eveyone is against me for some reason. spdshft, that kind of oppinion is refreshing. you didnt say this is wrong or that is wrong. you just said for your taste you would change a few things. if you guys would look at my other cars you'll see that when people are cool about it and just tell me what they think, ive listened and sometimes made changes. its when people say things are the wrong size as if there is some regulation size for everything that i usualy ignore them or challenge them to tell me why they think that. ive never got an answer to that either. by the way, its not a wing people. its a umm.. design.. thing. yea, i had the idea, tried it and it looked good to me. :) but ultimately when i post a car here its for you not me, so if i get time maybe i'll change some things and repost it. i think thats it.. i talk alot in the mornings before i have my coffee. yea i know thats ironic. im gonna go wach some football.. have a good day.

what exactly is it that you think youve called me on? what do i have to prove?? see this is where youre getting confused. im not trying to prove anything. i said i was going to this other site because i got a bunch more dl's. it doesnt matter if you believe me about that because i was only trying to explain why im not posting here anymore. its not like i said im the man, i can get 200 dl's over there, and youre all just stupid because you arent grabbing my cars. i said nothing like that. but you act like i did. and hell the cars ive posted here recently are averaging over 20 dl's apeice so my other ones dont even matter. also, ive noticed that my cars are usualy among the most dl'd of that day. its not my lack of popularity its the lack of people dl'ing cars here. most people here are looking for certain things. things that i dont do because i dont make cookie cutter cars, and things i cant do because i cant make pretty renders that fool people into thinking your car is great. dont get me wrong, im not among the best at this. nobody here is. but i dont like following all the guidlines that you and dave have correctly listed. thats probly why im not that popular here. thats cool, thats why im posting on this other site. i have nothing to prove to anybody. yea i got carried away when you said i couldnt get 20 dl's but you WERE wrong. so i geuss im not perfect. dave seems to be a hipocrate btw. he said my goodwrench logo and #3 are too small. then he posts his complements on a car with the same size logo and #3. so nothing he says means anything. if you really wanna know what other cars by another name i was talking about. this car and the 06 car were patterned after one of them. if you search you'll find it. and my 21 car that you sarcasticly commented on has a similar design to one of my most popular fictionals. so if you wanna know then go look.

oh, forgot something.. chicago.. i cant post a car that will grab more than 20 dl's? all my cars together, im averaging about 500 dl's percar. thats with the recent experiments. my highest so far is about 2,300 or something like that. dont bother clicking my name either. i used to post here under a different name. and no im not gonna prove anything. why should i? im just stating this because its fact. but you wouldnt know anything about facts.

You claim that I *randomly post unwanted opinions that start large flame wars all the time.* Let's see, you show me a link where I _defend_ a guy who declines your request -- one example at that, which is pretty far from a "large flame war" to boot. You tried to make him out to be a bad seed and I called you out on it. That hardly does justice to defend your claim. If I started flame wars so frequently, I'm pretty sure there would be more people in this thread coming to dennis' rescue than just a couple of random people like yourself. And you being here hardly does anybody any good. You are just sitting here throwing more sticks in the fire. First off i know this has nothing really to do with me and this is getting rediculas and i'm surprised this car hasnt been deleated to stop further comments BUT... Thing is dave, HAD you replied to my post in a much more mature and polite manor i would of simply shrugged it off and forgotten about it. I will gloss over the fact that you have decided to proclaim to everyone that I am "stupid" (as if that is the end all be all on insults - you sound like a real mature person) or the fact that you continue to prove me right as you can't help but come back and keep adding fuel to the fire. I would simply like to know - what is this site you continue to make outrageous claims about yet never give us the link to back it up? Seventy, two hundred, what's the difference? You can't post a car here that can grab twenty, let alone seventy, and statistics and sampling sizes tells us - wait, I've been over this already and it fell on your deaf ears. One can make a case that this argument has been blown way out of proportion but a lot of that blame goes to you.

Chicago is as far from stupid as they come. And yes, this has been blown out of proportion way too far. My original point was, you make it out like this car deserves more downloads, like it gets on your other site. If it doesn't get all those downloads, then why bother even posting it. Whether that is what you meant or not, that is how it *sounds*. If that is not what you meant, then I am afraid the entire thing is a misunderstanding. Regardless whether that is what you meant or not, the bottom line is, just read my first line of my first post. Make more impressive looking cars and people will take them. The first step to making better cars is to consider ideas other people have. You mentioned that my #32 Coke car was one you liked. It's not like I made it and posted it. I made it, sent the image to about 4 or 5 friends and took their suggestions on it to make it better. All I was doing was just that -- offering suggestions about your car. Sure, one person's suggestions would not make a car perfect, but if everyone offers a valuable tip or two, they'd all combine to make it pretty close to perfect. You took my tips and basically said they were invalid, false and far fetched. Then you went on to look at my cars and digressed from the topic by *attacking* my work. I will be the first to admit that my cars are not perfect and I am not ashamed to admit that. But your entire purpose behind pointing out flaws in *my* cars was to arouse negativity. I reinforce this claim by the fact that you simply pointed out flaws without offering solutions, not even one. You simply made mundane remarks like, "your work is plain." That is not what one user earlier called "constructive criticism," no, that is just an attempt to attack. Your first "attack" was not in your latest post. Go back to an earlier post where you decided to mock me with your Elmer Fud language. "aww.. davey can criticize others but if you criticize him, he get hims wittle feewins huwrt.. awwww..." If that is not an insult then I don't know if such a thing even exists. Now, I pose the question, how do you get that you are not immature?

Because if you have, then you'd notice that this is the only car on the entire site that I have made negative comments about so far. I have never attacked people over what they create. Maybe you should go back and read dennis' original post where he acts like this car deserves 70 downloads, and if it doesn't receive that many, it couldn't be his fault rather it is our fault. I forgive you for not being able to comprehend dennis' philosophy, I myself have a hard time figuring it out, and once you do understand it, it is hard to believe. So I forgive you, at_the_room. This is not something out of a George Orwell novel, folks, it's not some happy go lucky everything's perfect society. If people are afraid to accept criticism, then they shouldn't post cars here, or at any website. Anytime you put something up on the internet in a public forum, you open up the door to get bashed, flamed, or criticized. Not everyone is going to like everything you do, that's just how it is. I for one think this paint is hideous and can't see how anyone who would put something like this up on a website can paint other cars that attain two hundred downloads in an evening, but that's just me ... someone else here might think this is the greatest thing they've ever seen. But somehow I doubt it and the fact that this painter has some shadow double website, as the first poster in this thread pointed out ... What website? There is none. To sum up this first point, when someone posts a car on this website, they open up themselves to a can of worms, and it's no longer the responsibility of the persons commenting to make sure they don't pull the wrong strings with the poster. If the poster was worried about that earlier, they should've never posted in the first place. And ultimately, and this is something that Dennis can't say after he threw his temper tantrum, is that Dave's comments, albeit blunt, would've only helped improve this car. Maybe you don't like Davewah's tact. I for one enjoy the fresh perspective that Davewah brings to this website and the fact he's not afraid to say what he thinks instead of just walking on eggshells and putting on a fake smile like so many other crew members do here. By the time Dennis was going through Davewah's paints, he was only looking for things he didn't like to keep his house of cards up. He [Dennis] had the opportunity to leave this bulletin board the better man, and he failed because he not only couldn't take criticism, which all painters have to endure at some point, but also because he felt like he had to return the favor. He just couldn't leave it alone. Many of you are going to sympathize with the "little guy taking on the big corporate establishment" -- I think that's a pretty good analogy, actually -- just for the sake of taking a side. But I think you are ignoring the idea here that Dave was trying to help improve the car in his own way and Dennis was so insecure that he couldn't take the criticism and it escalated into what you've seen here. Maybe if Dennis had been a bit more mature, and hadn't resorted to making outrageous claims that he couldn't substantuate (the kinds of things I have pointed out in my last few posts here), then things would've been different. The ball was in Dennis' court for quite some time and he just kept firing pot shots. Dennis definitely showed that he was lacking in the maturity department.

No offense davewah but you've become the new ET sure your a good painter and not everyone's as good as you but you just randomly start flame wars by sharing your most of the time unwatned opinions. Sure the truth hurts and you may feel what you have to say is important but nearly all of your comments here end up in large wars becouse people dissagree with you and if they do you go crazy in trying to prove them otherwiise. In all fact dave your very steriotype and thats all there is to it. When people post cars I don't like at all, I usually avoid posting anything at all in comment, because I'd rather not hurt their feelings. Personally, the wing thingy on the side of the car killed the whole car. It would've been much better without that thing on the side of it. The number is a little to small, so I would increase the size a little. The logos, to me, look fine. The idea behind the base is cool...the gradient with the solid red bottom. I like that, but like I said, the silver wing seriously hurt it. I think you got the right ideas, just need to practice them. I know you'll probably look at my cars and pick them apart, and I welcome you to it. As a matter of fact, I want you to, give me some feedback, but you better be able to back what you say about them, more then.."they suck". I'm not here to get into the middle of you and davewah's little cat fight, just to offer some feedback on the car as I see it....take it for what you want...

Ironic, then, that Jarrett ran a gold and brown paint scheme at Atlanta at the end of '03 and it was a huge hit. Close enough to what you are describing to make you wonder. And any reputable paint designer who is looking at your cars is either pulling your chain or isn't doing his job properly. Keep dreaming. And if the classic UPS truck design doesn't look good on television, why do they use it? I see that thing plastered all over the place all the time.

youre the one thats flaming dude. i was gonna go, but once again you say something stupid and i have to clarify it for you. i just meant i didnt like the colors.. wether on your car or the stupid m&m's package. k? now stop with that. what i meant about the tv thing is they do test that stuff to make sure the logos and ads are visible and attractive.. i know this because a long time ago i did a dale jarret alt that one of the guys hired to design schemes took a serious interest in. it was patterned after the truck. the old yellow logo on brown. he said he would have to change it because they tested that already and knew it didnt look good on tv. thats why it used to be brown on white. anyway.. now im going... anything said after this will not be read by me.. have a good night.. bye

If there is a painting site that is bigger than nascarnet.com ... a reputable painting site, mind you, then we are all missing something, but from what I have seen just looking at your cars, you don't even qualify to have your cars rendered, let alone grabbing over two hundred downloads in an evening. And I browse a lot of painting websites. Your pot shots at Davewah's cars were taken because you were trying to back up your feeble house of cards. A company changes it's colors so they look right on television? If that's right, then someone missed telling Boniva earlier this season. The whole basis of a paint scheme is that it matches the kind of image - and thusly, colors, that the sponsor is conveying to their consumer base. This goes all the way back to when Gold Leaf cigarettes jumped onboard Colin Chapman and Jimmy Clark's Lotus team in Formula One in '68, the first *major* show of commercialization in modern motorsports. Dave's pot shots at your paints were justified and based off the quality (or lack thereof) of your cars. He gave suggestions on how you could improve. You were just looking for the Gorilla Glue to put your house together and you missed it entirely. Everything since then has just been double talk and excuse making on your part. I guess it all depends on how you look at it. If you think you're closing out of the website "winning" the argument, then you won. Arguing on the internet is like competing in the Special Olympics - there aren't really any winners, as they say. But I would say you managed to come across as a joker who should go back to his "other" painting site and continue to rack up hundreds of downloads in a night with your superb paint schemes. I don't think anyone will be missing overdone cars like this that can only grab nine downloads, for one.

If you think a Peanut Butter M&M's car that someone *asked* me to be bright red should not be bright red, I don't know what to say. You win that argument! You can't deny the television! I am so sure a Peanut Butter M&M's car wouldn't be bright red like the packaging... because the tv screen just would not be able to handle the vivid colors! What an original excuse for flaming. A color change wouldn't even be enough to make your car right here look good on TV. Maybe a garbage can? It would look nice in one of those.

this is getting old. i said that about his cars because i was pointing out that i could find faults with his just like he did with mine. he was really insulting in what he said, but i was very respectful.. well its been fun chatting about nothing with you knuckleheads and proving you wrong. and laughing at your feeble attemps to make points that are pointless to begin with. that site i mentioned is as big as this one if not bigger. i dont have a "job" there, just posting like on here. but they seem to love my crappy "unorigional cars.

You don't like something on a car that screams original so obviously it's a poor plain car ("the shade of red on the fictional you painted for a friend") that warrants unbelievable criticism, whereas your cars are both unoriginal and unattractive and someone points it out and then gives suggestions to help you improve and you get your panties all in a twist and start claiming that your cars are loved all over the web, just not here, and moan about the fact that someone left a comment that wasn't positive. Last I checkered, this world isn't something out of Huxley or Orwell, and the "leave a comment" button is there for a reason - this is an argument I've had before. Sampling sizes tell us that if a large, thousand plus member community like nascarnet.com isn't downloading your cars, then no one is. I'm sure every idiot and their grandmother who has Adobe Paintshop can get a job at "Moxley Motorsports" or whatever new Geocities paint site comes up every day, but what seperates the real painters from the imitators is the consistent originality and quality of their cars, the time put in, the effort, and lastly, how they look. Folks like Deadpool and Davewah here - they take lemons and make lemonade. Folks like you take the same lemons and make squeeze sour lemon juice, and then leave a bitter taste in the mouths of anyone who read your subsequent temper tantrums. If anyone here qualified for banning from this site, after what I've just read from you, you definitely would be right up there - with me, of course. You can find all the "flaws" you want in Davewah's paints, and point them out to boot - the shade of red here, the fact you don't like the red on blue here ... and it doesn't matter. We all know now you're just looking to find something to back up your argument, so it doesn't matter. You had the opportunity to leave this argument the better man, but you've just dug yourself a hole that you'll never talk out of. Paint something of substance that actually looks worthwhile and people will actually care. I'm not trying to be cruel, I'm just being blunt. What the heck is with the wings on the side of this car? The number is off, the logos are lo-rez, the screenshot is jagged, and *the #3 '06 Monte Carlo* theme has been done before, wait, a million times before! I could sit here all day and fire pot shots, but I've spoken enough, I'll go back to lurking and saying what needs to be said even if someone doesn't want to hear it.

Does it sound like you hurt my feelings? If anyone sounds like a baby it would be yourself. Actually I cannot tell if you are doing an Elmer Fud impression or just being your normal self. Care to clarify? You bagged on my schemes and I was simply asking you for specific examples that you failed to mention before, such as the Kool Aid car and the Peanut Butter M&M's alternate. FYI, the base color was requested to be that way unless you failed to read the original post. Peanut Butter M&M packages are bright red, hence the car is bright red. But you are right, I should have made the car purple or something. I agree, the Kool Aid car is not one of my favorite paint schemes, in fact that was like the 2nd car I ever painted, just moved to a newer template. But some people can put two and two together to realize that Kool Aid's colors are red and blue, hence the car is blue with red splashes. It's common sense like that that makes cars easy to look at. What do you suggest for a Kool Aid cars colors? Like I stated earlier, you sit and tear at some of my cars but fail to offer solutions. If you cannot offer solutions then you shouldn't even bother opening your mouth.

aww.. davey can criticize others but if you criticize him, he get hims wittle feewins huwrt.. awwww... i didnt mention every car i saw becaus it didnt matter. i pointed out one in particular just to make a point. and i even complimented one. i was trying not to be too disrespectful. something you might wanna learn. but since you asked.. the koolaid/chips ahoy car was kinda plain and i didnt like the redish color splash at the bottom with the blue base color. the m&m's car..didnt like the red main color. didnt like the red numbers on redish brown on the roof either. that might be hard to make out on the track too, dont ya think? anyway, i dont take all this personal, i dont even know you. youre just starting to annoy me. oh, and im an idiot? well i might be.. im sure i have my moments, like anyone else. but you dont know anything about me. nothing at all.. so you might want to wach your mouth.

Hey dennis, I would take your suggestions on my "plain" cars (you can't even name which cars are "plain" oddly enough), but you are an idiot, I think you have already proven so by not being able to refute anything I stated. My colors don't look right? Examples? The roof on the first Domino's car? What? It's one thing to critisize and offer suggestions/help, but all you do is make false claims (ie made up complaints about my cars) hence you cannot offer any suggestions.

oh i just read your rant. missed it before.... well your oppinion is welcome. just meant i didnt ask for any oppinions about where i post my car.. anyway... i dont think i sound ungratefull.. i think i already explained that tho.. and by effort, i meant posting the car. i have dial-up... it wasnt "copy paste". all i did was change the color and add a different logo.. k? "Suit yourself, the number is the right size, right color and the sponsors are the right size, just because you say so. If you simply took my suggestions and changed the car, it would look better and get more downloads." so is it wrong just because YOU say so then? you think if i took your suggestions the car would look better? sounds like you think youre expert to me.

oh i know it would. and thanks, i think. but i'll pass. oh i looked at some of your cars. some are pretty plain and the colors dont really look right. the beans on the foldgers car just looks silly to me. overall i am not impressed. saw nothing i would want. i do have to say tho, the cherry coke car was pretty good. gotta give you that. you probly dont care anymore about my oppinion than i do yours. you like them the way they are and thats why theyre finished and posted on this site. well thats how i feel about my cars too. oh, let me clarify something tho. for you and whoever else read my original post. im not mad at anybody or about anything. i just dont want to post at both sites. so why not the one where more people like the kind of cars i do? and thats all i meant.

First of all, if you don't want my opinion then don't bother posting cars in the first place. The "leave a comment" is there for that reason. Sorry to burst your dream world bubble, but I am going to use it. You sound disappointed and ungrateful that your previous car is only downloaded 10 times in 2 days. It sounds like the downloads do matter to you, otherwise why would you have said, "my last car was only downloaded 10 times in 2 days. i posted that same car at anohter site and it was downloaded 70 times in one day. ten people in two days just isnt worth the effort." My point in the copy/paste comment was to point out the irony in your frustration -- you say the effort in making the cars is not worth it if you only get a few downloads -- it is ironic that copying and pasting a base is almost no effort at all. But hey, you claim you didnt just copy and paste, go figure, you decided to remake the entire base a second time? I am not even close to being an expert, but I hate people who think their #$&@ don't stink and believe their cars are fine the way they are. The fact is that a little criticism is what makes your work better. Suit yourself, the number is the right size, right color and the sponsors are the right size, just because you say so. If you simply took my suggestions and changed the car, it would look better and get more downloads.

umm.. didnt ask for an oppinion. but anyway.. i dont care how many downloads i get. just i post my cars for people who want them and if there are a bunch of people on another site who want my cars and only a few here. then why post them at both places? i know for a fact that the cars on this site rendered by 3ds are gonna get dl'd more, and i understand that. sort of... sry if you got the wrong idea.. oh and the logos are fine. its sposed to have an orange outline around the number. i wanted the numbers that big. and it was NOT copy and past, but so what if it was? whats your point there?? thats another thing. too many over critical people on here who think theyre experts. the car looks great. it makes me think it should be a real scheme, and im sure others will think so too. you dont and thats fine.. jeez, whats your problem anyway??

Make more impressive cars and people will download them. Your last car looked like a 2006 pace car more than a real racecar. It was a nice car but the ony reason I would download a car is if I wanted to drive it myself. I don't know many people who want to drive a car numbered 06 as it is. The scheme was decent but nothing worth grabbing, at least for me. This car here is decent as well, but obviously it didn't take as much "effort" because you already had most of the base made. Most of the work was copy and paste. And even at that you still have some flaws -- numbers appear to be outlined in ornage, and are not the right size. The hood logo is too small. I know it is a fictional, but a good fictional is a car that makes you think, "man why isn't that a real scheme?" This car doesn't make me think that. If you are here for the number of downloads you get, then you should leave anyways. My favorite cars I have made only have like 25 downloads total.
