If you want to argue that, then read up jayski and nascar.com. Thats the way that agreement worked because thats why schrader couldnt score the AT&T deal, u had to be with the team by the time the nextel deal was inked. It pretty much locked cellular companies with the teams they are with now and they cant go to different owners. they can re-up all they want but if cingular leaves rcr and alltel leave penske racing south then nextel will fight to get them out of nascar Cup racing. |

deal was that existing contracts between teams and other
cellular companies had to be honored (and I believe that
goes for renewals as well). The only way Cingular could be
locked out is if their contract expires without a renewal.
Schrader's AT&T deal was not a full-time deal and
because an existing contract wasn't already in place, they
couldn't sign a new one. By the way, great job on the car. |
