I discovered that when you are using a white car, and want to give it some shine... create a black layer over the top , then drop it's transparency to just a couple % (1%-5% depending on taste) then slap the Shine layer on top of that, duplicate the shine untill desired sheen is met... by the way.. nice car.. i'll take one...
