Is there anyway we can e-mail THIS page to Papy, EA, and Nascar? I am sure that the 3 of them might have some very interesting reactions to what has been written here and what...with millions of visitors to this site reading this stuff they might be inclined to do something. If nothing else, it will let each of the principles involved know just what thier target audience/demographic think about what has transpired. I am sorry to see ya go Papy, you had a great run going-I'll buy two of your Nascar Final edition because I am sure that I am going to burn out the first CD! Now, can you guys make us a decent NHRA?IHRA Drag racing game?

ok my 2 cents bout EA... their sims suck every racing sim they have sucks... why the F*** would you have a car spin half way and then have the computer trn it back around when you get spun... and in the in car the screen does not shake... realistic sim my a** PAPY IS THE BEST... I hope i can get to ea sports web site get an e-mail then e-mail em my thoughts and then get papys e-mail and compliment them on a great series they have made and then gets nascars e-mail and chew their a**es out for selling the right to some dip s****..... onece again my 2 cents

All things considered, I think Papy leaving the Nascar racing title to EA Sports could be the best thing to happen to Nascar fans, but not at all to EA Sports' liking. My thinking is that EA Sports put a lot of moola onto Nascar's plate to snag the exclusive rights to the games. Papy, seeing the money involved, wisely stepped aside and will instead put a much smaller amount of money into other games to stay afloat. Meanwhile, EA Sports, as you guys have pointed out, can't make a good Nascar racing sim; so it sits on the shelves - losing money! How long does the contract run? Let's say five years. By then, Nascar will have grown good and tired of watching their product die on PC and will again let out the bids. Papy could then use all that money they've saved from NOT making a Nascar sim to re-win the contract and then dive back in with a much better product than we can even imagine right now. Think for a second what will be available in PC's in say four years! I think Papy is onto something.

Well here goes another part of my "Nascar" enjoyment right out the window!The almighty dollar strikes again! You guys are very much correct:EA SUCKS!! I can't get their darn Madden game to run on my PC without hanging up constantly! But thats not the main thing: EA HAS NO IDEA WHAT HARD CORE SIMMERS WANT! Its going to hurt big time not to see any more Nascar titles from Papy! I have no idea who the bean counter at Nascar is that said that they needed to have a console and PC version of Nascar racing games at the same time. Let EA sell to the teenie boppers with thier arcade games. Let us serious Nascar sim racers have what Papy constantly delivers: A QUALITY, HARDCORE, NASCAR RACING SIM!! I am already watching EA's current PC Nascar Racing Game languish on the shelves. As many of you have said: I am going to get a lot of racing time out of NASCAR RACING:THE FINAL EDITION.Now if only Papy would get into NHRA and IHRA drag racing...the current games SUCK!

We all know EA is good at making games like Madden and MLB.....but leave the NASCAR to the pros...PAPY should stand up and fight for what they started...this is bull i own NASCAR Thunder 2002....that is by far the biggest discrase to nascar sinces Fox and NBC took over coverage....NASCAR is PAPY and its ESPN (it means sports in spanish) Just because EA has 1 race at talladega duznt mean they can step in a stop a good thing in its tracks...what happend to this sport...its all $$$ now....i miss the southern 500 at darlington not Mt Dew crap...lowes motorspeedway....no its charlotte..its all about $$..screw the fans....no i say screw u..dont buy this crap..NASCAR will notice when their fans are unhappy....i say lets let them know whats up... It's a shame that a POS company like EA is getting all the rights to NASCAR.....I race NHRA Drag Racing, and I think if PAPY were to also develope a NHRA game, it would be awesome....CART and IRL are not as popular anymore....If you watch them on TV, the stands aren't as filled as NASCAR or NHRA...Maybe PAPY will just have to make an ARCA race game since ARCA isn't affilliated with NASCAR....And use our FANTASY tracks we've made....There's a thought...

Ok listen up everyone....I want to start a reveloution. We still have time to gather faithful Papyrus Gamers to BOYCOTT EA Sports and its money. I for one will NEVER buy an EA Sports Nascar Game because they only car about making money. Papyrus CARES about us. They know what we want in a Nascar Game. We want REALISM. NOT ARCADE RACING!!!! I don't like going into Martinsville Turn 1 and barely hitting another car and then watching it soar through the air. THAT'S STUPID!! I what the real physics and detailed car tuning that Papyrus offers, Not just being able to adjust the freakin spoiler. SCREW EA SPORTS if they think they can take over a genre that someone else has created and make money off it. Why don't they just stick to Basketball??? I'm sure all of you have played Nascar Thunder...it's good if you want Graphics and SH*TTY GAMEPLAY. But get used to it cause that's what will be forced on us by EA. I know for me, PAPYRUS Nascar Racing 2003 will go a LONG way into the future for me.

well, papy says they are not completely stopping with games, there will be other racing games, and like you said, they could make arca, it just can't have the NASCAR name on it. Just like in NASCAR 3 where papy didn't get liscencing on the Manufacturers, now the cant get liscencing on NASCAR

If I worked for Papyrus, and we lost our rights to create more NASCAR games, then I would create ARCA Racing 2004. Let the gamers repaint those stock cars into Winston Cup cars if they want. Let them even port the N2003 tracks into it. I know theres a loophole somewhere. They know how much money there is to be made.

Papy!!!! Dont Go !! Im 42 years old, and I play this game daily almost! since you have came out with the 1st game. This is not right Papy, Or at least start on a new cart or Irl game ,Your Product Rules!!! EA ? It Is NOT in the Game, Its in Papys game!!! I see myself racing well into my 60's or 70's Guess I better buy more than 1 copy!!!You will be missed!!!!!!

Losing Papy for EA is like trading a BJ with dental work. EA's console racers suck, they're pc racers suck. All EA is anymore is a "microsoft" to the gaming industry. It utterly amazes me how unimportant the opinions of the consumers trully are. Its OUR market, we made it, we make it work, but in the end we don't matter much. I say every true fan of nascar games buy NR2003 and love it for all its worth, but ban ANY EA versions forthcoming. You all know theres enough of us to make the accountants at EA and Nascar stand up and take notice when none of their games leave the shelf. A dark,dark day for Papyrus and the racing community indeed......

cdntyre, from what I've heard, EA his bought the right to be the only producer of NASCAR games, which has forced Papy to rush and make their last effort. I wonder though, maybe after the rights expire, will Papy return?

NR2002 cars will not work in the new game! Each cars MFG will have it's own body shape and I guess , it's own template.

It's a shame that in my opinion one of the greatest game makers in the country is losing one their flagship title. Its also a shame that Ea Sports cant stick to the monopoly they have on the playstation2, xbox, and gamecube. And shame on Nascar for selling out like they always do. Once papy leaves online racing will never be the same.

Actually if u read it right the names going to be nascar racing: final edition. Man I hate to see papy go 8(. EA sports stink. Depending what their 1st version looks like I think me and alot of other people are going to stick with papies final edition.

i hope EA Sports dont scew up this game that they have taken from papyrus and make it like the console game cause i think papyrus has made it a real experience of sim racing (pitting by your self, doing the pace lap by yourself, driving the yellow flag by yourself)
