Car looks pretty good, but I'm the one that came up with painting the Ricky Rudd #42 Ganassi Dodge. If you look, I posted it a couple of weeks ago. You did a good job, but just don't base it off of somebody else's work.

Rudd DOES have a sponsor...Motorcraft. As a matter of fact, Motorcraft basically asked the Wood Brothers what they thought it'd take to get Rudd (money-wise and stuff), and gave it to them, because Ford (which owns Motorcraft) didn't want to loose another driver and see him winning races like they did when Elliott when from Ford to Dodge.

Elliot Sadler will run the 38 m&m's car foor Yates. Rudd is going to the wood brothers but doesn't have a sponsor yet

No disrespect. Not that that I meant to do it but Kenny's old sponser, last number, and last ride. Besides, retiring or not using the number 3 is for obvious reasons, but why would we retire 42??? Petty did not retire 45 after Adams death....and for true NASCAR fans, 42 will always remind me of the late, GREAT, Lee Petty!

I was thinking prior to that season, little memory loss on my part. I remembered Nemechek winning in the 42, must have been the previous season. Regardless though, how is it disrespect to run a number if the person passes away? I would think it would be more of a respect and rememberance kinda thing.

by the way sabatis and ganassi brought back the #42 at watkins glen for jimmy spencer this year or do we have a memory lapse

Joe Nemechek didn't drive that car later that season, and the car wasn't #42. Ted Musgrave drove it as the #01...I know because I was at the next race the team went to at Pocono and saw them push the #01 car off the hauler. Nemechek was driving the #33 car for APR. Eventually, Sabco got the sponsorship from Cingular, contintued to use #01, and ran Jason Leffler in the car for a few races.

Wait, running the 42 is disrespect to Kenny Irwin Jr.?? Joe Nemechek drove the car later the season, after he died, that wasn't disrespect. How about running the 28, wouldn't that be disrespecting Davey Allison, or #7 disrespecting Alan Kulwicki, or #20 for Rob Moroso, or.. the list could go on a while. It's not disrespect, everything has to move on.

I know that Rudd's already leaving Yates but i think that Robert Yates should've made a 3 car team!!! 1. 88_Dale Jarrett 2. 38_Elliot Sadler 3. 28_Ricky Rudd I think that would've been a good team but oh well(lol)

from what i hear, havoline is gunna be sticking with the 28 where ever it goes next year
